About Caitlin Jacek
Caitlin has worked with a variety of different age groups including young adolescents, adults, older adults, and families presenting with a range of clinical issues and struggles. Caitlin began her career after she obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Washington University in Saint Louis. She then worked in three different settings before working in private practice, including residential care, crisis management and stabilization, and adult protective services.
In residential care, Caitlin worked with young adolescents to help them develop healthy coping skills to manage anxiety/depression, identify and express emotions, and establish routines to address behavioral issues and develop higher self esteem. During her next two positions, she worked with adults and families where she gained valuable skills helping clients manage depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief, diagnosis of chronic medical issues, and stress management tools.
Are you going through a major life change? Can’t decide what steps to take next or where to turn? Caitlin can help support you!
Caitlin grew up in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago and knows how challenging it can be to juggle multiple different roles and stressors in life. Caitlin is passionate about working with all age groups as they learn to navigate their way through this ever changing world.
Caitlin fully embodies the progress, not perfection model at Nikkie Evans PLLC. She recognizes that life is a journey and it takes time to build coping skills, self-confidence, and truly identify your core values to find fulfillment and joy in life.
Caitlin views therapy as a partnership. She is committed to partnering with you, using an integrative approach, so that you can feel comfortable, build trust, and develop an understanding of your individualized goals. It is Caitlin's goal to make this space a place where you can begin to process all of life’s ups and downs, while feeling empowered to be your true, authentic self.
In her spare time, Caitlin enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, kayaking, gardening, reading, and cooking.
