About Stephanie Keeshin

Are you feeling overwhelmed in your relationships, caught in never ending cycles around food or body image, or feeling overwhelmed and overstimulated navigating the emotional ups and downs of pregnancy or parenthood?  Stephanie is passionate about supporting individuals in their teens, 20s and 30s as they navigate some of life’s most tender, confusing, and transformative moments.

Whether you're feeling stuck or disconnected in your relationships, overwhelmed by the pressures or expectations being put on you to achieve, struggling with your body image, facing the complexities of fertility and new parenthood, or just trying to figure out where you belong, you're not alone—and you don't have to figure it out all by yourself.

So many people reach out for support feeling isolated—like they should have it all figured out by now, but instead feel uncertain, anxious, or like they’re falling behind. We live in a world that’s more connected than ever, and yet so many of us feel lonely, misunderstood, or disconnected from ourselves and others.

Stephanie offers a grounded, compassionate space where you can explore what’s been getting in your way, while helping you build tools to feel more confident, connected, and empowered in your life. She will work with you to understand your patterns, reconnect with your values, and help you move toward the kinds of relationships and life experiences that truly nourish you.

Stephanie holds a degree in Psychology from Indiana University and a Master’s in Counseling from Northwestern University. Over the past eight years, Stephanie has worked in a variety of clinical settings—from residential treatment centers to outpatient group practices—providing her with a strong foundation in both intensive and ongoing care.

Stephanie has advanced training and experience in the treatment of eating disorders and body image issues. She incorporates intuitive eating principles and an anti-diet, health at every size (HAES), body-accepting framework into her work, helping clients heal their relationship with food and their bodies. Before transitioning into private practice, she worked at a leading residential program for adolescents with eating disorders, where she provided therapy focused on self-esteem, body image, anxiety, and life skills.

In addition, Stephanie has completed specialized training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International (PSI). Trying to conceive, navigating miscarriage or loss, and transitioning into life as a parent can bring up profound grief, anxiety, guilt, and overwhelm. Stephanie works with individuals through each stage of the perinatal journey, including postpartum depression and anxiety. Whether you’re struggling with identity shifts, mom guilt, or the mental load of parenting, you deserve support—and a space to process it all honestly.

Stephanie believes that therapy is not a one size fits all process.  She integrates research-backed approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic theory, and mindfulness-based techniques to meet you where you are and support your individual goals.

Therapy with Stephanie is a mix of reflection and action—looking back to better understand how you got here, while also focusing on how you can move forward with greater self-awareness and intention.

During her free time, Stephanie enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, friends and her pup Archie, as well as relaxing on the couch with a great book!

If you're ready to feel more connected, supported, and in tune with yourself, reach out today!  Stephanie is ready to walk alongside you and provide the support you need.
