About Stephanie Keeshin

Are you wanting a safe space to learn more about yourself? Are you going through a tough phase in life and looking for someone to support you? Or maybe you know that you want to implement changes but are having trouble taking the first step. Stephanie is here for you!

Stephanie’s specific training and experience in eating disorders allows for an understanding of the uniqueness that comes with ones’ relationship with their body and food throughout their life. Stephanie utilizes intuitive eating techniques to create a balanced way of body acceptance and anti-diet mindsets.  Prior to private practice, Stephanie served adolescents in a top eating disorder residential program.

Additionally, Stephanie has completed the specialized Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder training through Postpartum Support International (PSI) in order to best support clients throughout the highs and lows of the perinatal journey, from fertility to postpartum and beyond.

Stephanie is a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to supporting individuals on their path to improved well-being. She completed her undergraduate studies at Indiana University and earned her master's degree from Northwestern University.

Stephanie's therapeutic approach draws from a combination of evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic theory, and mindfulness. She believes in tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each client.

With a wide array of specializations, Stephanie is here to assist clients in managing anxiety,
depression, perinatal/postpartum challenges, life transitions, relational difficulties, eating
disorders, stress management, communication skills, self-esteem, body image, obsessive compulsive disorder, and women's health.

She works with a diverse range of clients, including middle adolescents (15-18), college students (18-22), young adults, adults, women, men, couples, and new moms. Stephanie has gained experience working in various settings, from residential programs to outpatient group practices.
