About Stephanie Keeshin

Are you wanting a safe space to learn more about yourself? Are you going through a tough phase in life, struggling with anxiety or self-doubt, and looking for someone to support you in navigating life's changes? Are you a new parent facing postpartum challenges?  Or maybe you know that you want to implement changes but are having trouble taking the first step. Stephanie is here to provide you with support

Stephanie is a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to supporting individuals on their path to improved well-being. Harnessing her education from Indiana University and Northwestern University, and over eight years of dedicated practice, her goal is to work collaboratively with you to explore and challenge patterns that don't feel in alignment with your current circumstances.

By integrating research-backed methods like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic theory, and mindfulness, she offers personalized strategies to navigate the intricacies of these challenges, so that you can make the progress that you desire! She believes in tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each client.  Stephanie uses goal-oriented techniques for you to utilize in your everyday life.  Stephanie would love to work together to overcome obstacles and embrace positive change in a warm, supportive environment.

With a wide array of specializations, Stephanie is here to assist clients in managing anxiety,
depression, perinatal/postpartum challenges, life transitions, relational difficulties, eating
disorders, stress management, communication skills, self-esteem, body image, obsessive compulsive disorder, and women's health related concerns.

She works with a diverse range of clients, including middle adolescents (15-18), college students (18-22), young adults, adults, women, men, couples, and new moms. Over the past eight years, Stephanie has gained experience working in various settings, from residential programs to outpatient group practices.

Stephanie has additional training and experience in eating disorders, which allows for an understanding of the uniqueness that comes with ones’ relationship with their body and food throughout their life. Stephanie utilizes intuitive eating techniques to create a balanced way of body acceptance and anti-diet mindsets.  Prior to private practice, Stephanie served adolescents in a top eating disorder residential program.  There, she provided therapy for girls struggling with eating disorders, low self-esteem, poor body image, anxiety, life skills, and assertiveness skills.

Additionally, Stephanie has completed the specialized Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder training through Postpartum Support International (PSI).  She is equipped to provide comprehensive support to individuals experiencing perinatal challenges. Whether it's fertility struggles, postpartum anxiety or depression, or adjustment to new motherhood, she offers tailored interventions to promote well-being and facilitate a smoother transition into parenthood.
